THE ROLE OF THE DIRECTOR
With licensing rights to the play and/or musical secured by the producing team, it is time to bring on board the creative team that will breathe life into the product. First and foremost would be the hiring of a director, who is situated at the center of the organizational chart (Figure 0.1). A musical director and choreographer would follow for a musical production. On occasion the director and choreographer might be the same person.
