THE ROLE OF THE BUSINESS MANAGER AND/OR GENERAL MANAGER
At this point we have met the producer, who sits as the titular head of the production team, most notably in the commercial theatre. In meeting this producer, we have loosely defined some of the narrow duties such a person faces in the commercial theatre. However, in the many school theatres, community theatres, Off-Off Broadway, or Off-Off West End theatres producers take on many, many more responsibilities.
