3. Creating Your First Application
You should now have a workable Android development environment set up on your computer. Ideally, you have an Android device as well. Now it’s time for you to start writing some Android code. In this chapter, you learn how to verify that your Android development environment is set up correctly. You also learn how to add and create Android projects from within Android Studio. You then write and debug your first Android application in the software emulator and on an Android device.
