Part V. User Interfaces

The .NET Framework contains a suite of technologies for creating programs with graphical user interfaces, as opposed to the text-based console programs we have used in most of the examples. These technologies can be used to create traditional Windows programs or web-based applications.

In this part of the book, we look at five different .NET user interface technologies. In an introductory book like this one, I can only give you a flavor of the facilities and features of each technology. User interface toolkits are rich and complex, and details of each of the five could easily fill a book. I will demonstrate two sample programs in each chapter.
