Chapter 9. The Combinator
In some ways the Combinator device is like a miniature rack within the Reason rack. It allows you to save and recall simple or complex configurations of Reason devices, including instruments, effects, and routing devices. Along with saving and recalling these patches, the Combinator also contains its own key mapping and modulation routing functionality, which can be used to further expand the device's creative possibilities.
In this chapter you'll look at all the elements found in the Combinator's interface, learn about the uses and routing for some of Reason's included Combinators, and start creating your own instrument and effect Combinator patches.
