M. Karthikeyan is a graduate in Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Madras and also holds a Bachelor Degree in Law from Dr Ambedkar Law University.
A reputed advocate by profession, he is also a standing Government counsel in various undertakings like the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA) and Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable TV Corporation (TACTV).
Since 2008, he is the honorary Director of Manidhaneyam Free IAS Academy, which is run by Manidhaneyam Charitable Trust, which trains students for UPSC- Civil Service Examinations, TNPSC examinations and various other competitive exams, free of cost.
