I fell into internal communication by lucky accident.
My high school scores got me into medicine, but I couldn’t stand the sight of blood. So, I trained and qualified as a physiotherapist.* I loved the classes in anatomy and dissection, massage, research methods, and bio-mechanics, especially the academic and practical scientific methodology behind physiotherapy. The process involved asking questions, looking at objective data and observations, assessing the problem, and then putting together a practical, manageable plan.
It wasn’t until I was a practicing physio that I realized the profession wasn’t for me.
