System Models
Abstract
This chapter considers the static and dynamic responses of control systems involving elements in open- and in closed-loop systems where there is feedback. The behaviour of mechanical, electrical, thermal and hydraulic system elements when subject to inputs is also discussed. The principles and use of first- and second-order differential equations in describing the behaviour of such systems are also introduced.
