Chapter 7. Messages
When one thinks of messages, many different meanings come to mind. In elementary school, children used to write little notes and fold them up to be passed over to a friend while the teacher was not looking. When they felt exceptionally brave, they would wad them up and send them sailing across the room while the teacher was writing on the chalkboard. "Man-in-the-middle" attacks were perpetrated by the students sitting between the thrower and receiver. They would try to swat the note out of the air before it reached its intended target. These days, pupils simply text message each other, which takes all the fun out of it.
