Chapter 4. Folders
Just like their physical counterparts, mailbox folders hold items. Unlike physical folders, it is common for mailbox folders to hold other folders. In this chapter, we will discuss folders and how they fit into the mailbox structure. We will cover the various types of folders, their properties, and the operations that apply to them. Although the depth of your folder tree appears to be a function of personal obsessiveness, this has not been scientifically proven.
