Many people in the United States are brought up with a pretty ethnocentric point of view, and we’re only used to communicating in one language. But working in multiple languages is increasingly an everyday reality. In this chapter we discuss how InDesign compares with QuarkXPress in working with multiple languages, and in customizing the dictionaries used for checking spelling and hyphenation.
