DEVELOPMENT OF AN ARTIST | Psyche
The Random House Webster’s Dictionary defines the psyche as
“the mind, soul, or spirit; the PSYCHE is the center of thought, feeling, and motivation, consciously and unconsciously directing the body’s reactions to its environment.”
Understanding the psyche and being aware of your own personal traits can inform not only the type of images you make, but also the process by which you make them. This understanding and awareness form the core of your ability to create self-aware authentic work.
The concepts of self and the unconscious are fundamental to Jungian psychology.
