The concept for this book began as a talk in 2015 in Black Rock City called “Gonzo Communications.” For the talk I had created a pamphlet called Ignition about getting off the sidelines and putting oneself into the story. Thus began the journey of this book from fire and dust.
No Hero’s Journey would be complete without the appearance of the helper. The mentor. For me, Ryan Carrasco appeared as the Book Doctor. As the next several years rolled by and the manuscript developed, he brought an uncanny ability to tease out concepts and fit pieces together in just the right places.
