Communication is a special thing; some would go the distance and say it is magical. The magic lies in the connections you can build with any living thing around you; humans (friends, partners, baristas), animals, and even nature, by coexisting with your surroundings. You can bring this same energy to your team and build those bonds with one another on a deeper level. According to a report published by McKinsey, knowledge workers spend an average of 14 percent of their workweek communicating and collaborating internally. The study also showed that improving internal collaboration through social tools could help raise the productivity of interaction by as much as 20 to 25 percent.1
