Niklas Luhmann, a German sociologist and general thinker, is credited as being one of the most important sociologists of the 20th century. Luhmann wrote 70 books and over 400 scholarly articles during his career. He had a unique system for growing his knowledge over time called the “slip box.” He described it as something he could have a conversation with. At the core of it, Luhmann had developed a process and repeatable pattern for digesting interesting information and making it available for his future self.
