Conclusion
There is growing interest in the management of human resources in the People’s Republic of China. There are a number of reasons for this interest, generally led by the view that it can assist in resolving many of the people issues occurring as a result of the increasing number of private, joint and multinational enterprises operating in the country. Based on the findings in the case studies that were researched in 2008 and 2009, the major problem areas are in staff suitability, retention, training, compensation, and management of performance.
