Chapter 6. Putting Things in Their Place
In this chapter, CSS Positioning (CSS-P) continues to be the focus of the discussion, but the emphasis shifts, from positioning individual elements, to the way positioning one object on a page affects other objects on the same page. Among the many applications we'll see for these techniques, we'll see how to overcome some of the limitations we identified with simple multi-column in Chapter 5.
Armed with a complete understanding of CSS layout techniques, we'll take a close look at the Footbag Freaks sample Web site to see how these techniques can be applied to a site with a more creative layout, breaking the familiar three-column mold.
