Housekeeping:Where’s the Bathroom?
“Excuse me, where’s the bathroom?”
You’re going to hear this—a lot. Like so many things, it’s best to handle the question before it’s asked.
Because some housekeeping items are routine, they often can be overlooked. But as we well know, breakdowns or defects in the details of class sites and presentations create distractions. For reasons we can only guess, attendees seem to welcome disturbances of any kind. Give attendees half a chance and away they go to check messages and voice mails, get a refreshment, carry on conversations, and so on. Then you need to take time from what should be productive customer service training to try to get them back on track— what a waste of time and effort.
