Workbooks for Attendees: Make it Easy for Attendees to Learn
The material in participants’ workbooks varies as widely as the facilitator’s guides. Typically they contain the overall lesson objective, subobjectives for the lesson’s segments, highlights of the program’s content, print versions of handouts, activity lists, quizzes, and space for notes.
A standard participants’ workbook will include the following:
• A statement of the program’s purpose—“what’s in it for you (attendee)?”
• How to get the most from the lesson and from the workbook
• A before-and-after skills inventory
• Activity areas with review questions
• Quizzes
• Key points in summary
