Getting up to speed
Regardless of your skill level it’s always useful to have a refresher on the basics. I’ve used these pages to not only document some of Elements’ standard features but also to illustrate how they are used and referred to throughout the book. We’ll begin by looking at the three editor workspaces available to us, followed by a more in-depth look at the specific areas of the application we’ll be using in the projects.
The Quick Edit workspace
The Quick Edit workspace consists mainly of automatic and pick-list alterations. Its purpose is to make light work of adjusting the tone, color and sharpness of photos. The toolset has been pared down to just the essentials required to touch-up our images.
