2.1 Using Mach–Zehnder Interferometers for Recording Focused Image Holograms on Photographic Films
Note that a Mach–Zehnder interferometer (see Figure 1.1) can be successfully used as the basic setup for designing an optical system recording holograms with low spatial carrier frequencies, so called Mach–Zehnder holograms. Holograms recorded on a Mach–Zehnder interferometer require the implementation of spatial filtering during the process of reconstruction.
