In this chapter, you’ll build a Motion-Activated Critter Cam that uses the MINDSTORMS EV3 Infrared Sensor as a proximity detector to monitor outdoor areas. You can use this surveillance system to observe animals without scaring them away. For example, say you’ve found bite and scratch marks all over a play fort in the backyard, as shown in Figure 1-1.
