We won't be handling audio until Chapter 5, Audio Generation with NSynth and GANSynth, so you can wait until that chapter to install Audacity. Audacity is an amazing open source cross-platform (Windows, Linux, macOS) software for editor audio clips. It doesn't have the functionality of a Digital Audio Workstation (see the Installing a Digital Audio Workstation section for more on this), but it is easy to use and powerful.
