Send Mail Task
Using the Send Mail task, you can send messages from your packages on the basis of success or failure of the package or on the basis of an event raised during execution of the package. This task uses the SMTP Connection Manager to send mails using the SMTP server. You can either specify the message directly in the task, let the task read from a file, or choose a variable to be sent as a message. You can use this feature to pass messages or variables between SSIS packages running on different servers. You can also use the Send Mail task to send notification messages about success or failure of other tasks.
