2-pass encoding: A process by which the encoder analyzes the entire audio or video source file before encoding a streaming file.

3G wireless network: Third-generation wireless network with high-bandwidth data transmission capabilities.

3-point lighting: The standard method of lighting a video subject, using a key light, a fill light, and a back light.
