This chapter is covers some of the more complex and annoying parts of putting together video blogs and podcasts: Copyrights, permissions, and licensing. While the authors are not lawyers, our goal is to give a good tutorial introduction to copyright laws and issues from a podcasting perspective. We will err in the direction of oversimplification and comprehensibility. Although none of the information in this chapter can be taken as a substitute for professional and competent legal advice, it should increase your understanding of the issues involved.
