Abstract:
This chapter presents the application of Process Integration techniques to increasing the energy efficiency of a typical brewery process. The example has been chosen to illustrate the application of Process Integration methodology and also to demonstrate the steps towards the implementation of Process Integration analysis. The chapter starts with a discussion on the definition of the process requirements, and of the system boundaries of the study.
