Abstract:
This chapter discusses the use of Process Integration (PI) for overall process design. In the past three decades, various models/techniques have been proposed for better process design to achieve sustainable development goals. More recently, PI techniques have also been developed for design of resource conservation and its associated treatment system that ensures maximum recovery of useful resources in the process plants.
