What are the parts of speech? What is a sentence? How do the parts of a sentence work together? I’ll answer these basic issues of grammar in these chapters. The meat and potatoes of this book will be served.
This section of the book is very word-oriented. I’ll discuss nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions, and interjections. Also, I’ll go beyond the types of words to discuss what they can do grammatically. This is especially important when discussing how nouns become subjects and verbs become predicates. I’ll include many quizzes to help you test yourself on the information.
