Abstract:

Globalization has brought about many unprecedented changes in South Asia, particularly relating to the higher level of economic development, the transition of individual values, and the change in management philosophy and practice. With the purpose of describing some of these changes, we identify the change agent role that MNCs have played, and discuss the multiple-track management system used by South Asian organizations that has resulted from both successful and failed attempts at discarding inefficient traditional management practices.
