Jude Brereton is Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor in Audio and Music Technology, in the Department of Electronic Engineering, University of York, UK. She teaches postgraduate and undergraduate students in the areas of virtual acoustics and auralization, music performance analysis, and voice analysis/synthesis. Her research centers on the use of virtual reality technology to provide interactive acoustic environments for music performance and analysis. Until recently, she was Chair of the Departmental Equality and Diversity Committee and was instrumental in achieving the Equality Challenge Unity (ECU) Athena SWAN Bronze Award, which recognizes the department’s commitment to gender equality.
