Add a Terrain to the Unity Scene.

Texture and shape the Terrain.

Add trees and grass to the Terrain.

Customize the sky in the Unity Scene.

The Terrain in Unity is a very efficient way to create landscapes in the Game Engine. To add one to your Scene, make sure you’re in the Scene Tab, then go to GameObject > 3D Object > Terrain.

Move your mouse cursor over the Scene, and press [F]‌ to center your view on the Terrain. Kind of boring so far – it’s a white, featureless square. However, as soon as the Terrain is selected, the Inspector gives you access to all the tools you need to shape and texture it.
