Voicemail

YOUR GALAXY S II has got voicemail built into it, just like any phone. Tap the voicemail icon at the lower left of the screen when you’re in keypad. Then just follow the prompts for setting up your voicemail box, including choosing a password and selecting or recording a message.

Visual Voicemail

The Galaxy S II has built into it all the usual voicemail capabilities you’d expect. You know the drill: Dial in to your voicemail, enter a password, and listen to voice messages. To dial in to voicemail on the Galaxy S II, tap the Voicemail icon on the Home screen, and you’re ready to go.

Looking for something niftier? Depending on your carrier, the Galaxy S II may have visual voicemail, which lets you see all your voicemails in a simple, chronological list, listen to them in any order you want, delete them, and otherwise manage them. For example, if you’ve got 17 messages, and you want to listen to number 17, you don’t need to listen to the other 16 first. Just tap message 17. For details, check with your carrier. You may be charged extra every month to use the service, often a fee of about $3.
