The purpose of this text is to introduce students and professionals to the fundamentals of nonlinear optics. The text is designed around a one-semester course. It is written at a level accessible to graduate students and senior undergraduates who have taken a course in electro-magnetism including Maxwell’s equations and electromagnetic waves. Outside of the student population, the text is also intended for scientists and engineers who are new to nonlinear optics and seek an introductory resource.
