Your role as a leader
You will become clearer about the principles of leadership in this chapter. I will help you to understand the difference between leadership and management and the implications for your own role. You will be introduced to the fundamental elements of both Action Centred Leadership and Situational Leadership® and how you can apply each of them to your teams. As you develop your understanding of these you will recognise the benefits of becoming more flexible in your leadership approach, to adapt to the needs of the individuals and the team.
