LEAD CAPTURE PAGES AND SQUEEZE PAGES
I love to see my clients build a good squeeze page because I think it's one of the most effective websites you can ever build.
Why is it so powerful? E-mail marketing is widely considered to be the most powerful form of marketing in use today. When done right the return on investment (ROI) is 50:1. I've had plenty of months where my own personal ROI was far higher than that. This means for every $1 I spend growing and managing my mailing list I can expect to put at least $50 in the bank.
In Part 13 we discuss e-mail marketing in more depth and I show you how simple e-mail campaigns can grow any business inexpensively and virtually risk-free. A squeeze page is a great way to allow targeted prospects to join your e-mail list in a systematic autopilot way, and for this reason it's one of my favorite simple sites.
So what is a squeeze page and how is it different from an informational website?
A squeeze page is a simple one page website that you've likely seen before. The entire purpose behind this site is to generate e-mail leads. One of my squeeze pages can be seen at SilentJim.com. I use this site in many ways, but here are a few examples.
- When I do radio interviews, write a guest article for a blog, comment on other people's blogs, participate on forums, and so on I always sign off by making mention of that website.
- When someone asks what I do for a living, or if they ask for a business card I send them to that site. It's the gateway ...
