Dala Horse

Dala horses (also known as “Dalecarlian horses”) began as wood-carved, painted toys for Swedish children. The folk-art horses gained international popularity after they were introduced at the World’s Fair in New York in the 1930s, and now they serve as a symbol of Sweden.
