Free-form foam construction involves bending and cutting pieces of foam to achieve the desired form. This can be a fun way to familiarize yourself with foam. My very first experience with foam was with the free-form technique and I recommend this for anyone who is just beginning. See Chapter 21 using this construction method for the “blue rhino”.
