Looking back

The path was always there

Writing this qualitative research ethics book has been an inductive exercise. The focus of the book was emergent, and throughout the various chapters, the focus has refocused in an iterative process. Very little planning went into this book, but looking back at it now, there was planning – if a leap of faith, a hunch, could be called planning. The hunch was putting an audio recorder in front of graduate students on their first day as a provocation, the students’ response unscripted.
