We saw in Chapters 10 and 11 how Final Cut Studio presents an integrated system for performing virtually all of the stages of a postproduction workflow right on the desktop. For the most part, since the introduction of Final Cut Pro, the industry has been moving toward operators needing to be generalists. It is expected in many cases that an editor will also be able to do motion graphics, mixing, and DVD authoring to boot! Truly, you can be a one-man band, and more than a few people are successful with this model.
