Welcome to Final Cut Express, version 4—the newest version of Apple’s video editing software for DV and HDV users, and now the newest high-definition,consumer format for AVCHD users. This version is based on its older cousin, Final Cut Pro 6. It is a universal binary application, which means it will run on either older PowerPC Macs or Apple’s Intel-based computers. If you are working with AVCHD material, you will need to have one of Apple’s Intel computers, a MacPro, iMac, MacBook, MacBook Pro, or MacBook Air.
