There are many books on the technique of acting and rightly so. Acting is a rich, diverse art that invites analysis, experiment, and criticism. Until now there hasn’t been a book that examines the particular differences between stage, film, and television. This is why I am so pleased to write the foreword for this book.

Film and Television Acting methodically examines the techniques of acting for camera and shows how they differ from stage acting. True, many of the techniques are alike, and some of the differences are minuscule. But these subtle variations can be quite obvious when blown up on the screen.
