Any textbook about video production would be incomplete without mention of mobile video. iPhones, iPads, and other smart devices have produced more photos and videos than any other devices in the history of photography. Smartphones are compact, always available, and can produce high-quality sound and images. Most importantly, their connection to the Internet makes it possible for journalists to file breaking news immediately.
