Berenice Abbott was not only a genius photographer but also an inventor. She discovered her love of photography while working in Paris and later moved to New York City where she documented the changing urban landscape. In 1937 her work was featured in a museum exhibition called “Changing New York.” Her grand, dramatic photos of the bridges, skyscrapers, and streets being built during that time are legendary. She also invented photographic equipment and even held four patents on her inventions. ...
