Prandtl–Eyring fluids
Abstract
We study the stationary flow of Prandtl–Eyring fluids in two dimensions. Based on the solenoidal Lipschitz truncation from chapter 3 we show the existence of weak solutions to the equations of motion. The proof benefits from the improved smallness estimate for the level-sets of the Lipschitz truncation and Korn's inequality from section 2.3. Our approach is completely pressure-free. However, we can recover the pressure based on the results from section 2.2.
