Congruence: Exploring Your External Influences

Remember that old joke by David Foster Wallace with the two small fishes swimming by the big fish when the big fish asks them, “How’s the water?” and they respond, “Water?” If you are unaware of your environment, you’ll miss the effects of its influence on you as well as the expectations of the people in it and that’s half the equation of getting real. Before we get to the practices that will help you with this, keep these next few things in mind.
