WHEN I THINK of my childhood days, I think mostly of the happy events that have taken place in my life. Sometimes thoughts of my childhood seem like something that I read about in a book in my first year of elementary school, which had six grades in a two-room school.
The school had two teachers, Patton Edwards and Goldie Ball. My first memory of school was lunch. My mother filled a metal pail (which syrup had come in) with milk and cornbread and dropped spoons into the milk and bread.
