Epilogue

Values-based leaders should heed these lessons regarding the life cycle of work. They have explored the positive and negative implications surrounding corporate culture, loyalty, motivations, whistleblowing, and white-collar crime for both organizations and individuals. The lessons have been peppered with anecdotal case studies from the business world and statistical evidence from the research world.

To put things in context and end on a more positive note, the book concludes with a poem by business ethicist—Michael Josephson entitled “What Will Matter.” (Reprinted with permission from the author):
