It is my greatest pleasure that this book concerning image sensors will be available for people to read all over the world.
The Japanese edition of this book was published in December 2012. Its aim was to explain the “indispensable functions and ideal situation of image sensors” by marshaling the “factors defining image information quality” and understanding the “structure of image information.” It also discussed the history of image sensors and the way they tried to respond to market demands by using the best combinations of the available technology in each era. The book also attempted to investigate future directions of this field.
