How email works
The head of sales is looking at you with doe eyes. One of his customers wants to be able to send him email directly from the corporate Web site. Given that he hasn't had a laptop that works for three out of the last five years, his skepticism is understandable. When you call him an hour later to tell him that the form is live on the Web site, there's a stunned silence on the line.
Sure, you get a fat head, start treating interns rudely, and take to wearing stained T-shirts to work—because you can. But what can you say, you're a miracle worker.
